Meeting Rainbow

Constantly we wish our dreams could fly, but time does instead. Enter: a bucket list. Just a simple lists of all the things we wish to accomplish before we, of course, kick the bucket. Things on my bucket list include: moving away from home, going to college, being awarded more than $200 dollars for a piece of writing I have written, and of course, corresponding with the author of my favorite book in any way possible.
Alike to Charlie in the indie novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Peter Chbosky, my favorite book used to be whichever one I was reading at the time. That period of "wishywashyness" lasted until the spring of 2014, when I read Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. It immediately became my favorite, just like every other book I had ever read before at the time, but this book stayed. I was constantly thinking about the book, even while reading other books. It seemed to be a new phenomenon.

So later while reading the book for about the millionth time, I had an epiphany-- wanted to talk to Rainbow in person.
Authors are always going on tour to meet their fans and sign books. Unfortunately, since I do not have a Twitter (she only has a twitter, not an email), this would be the best way for me being to correspond with her, and also the most expensive. But meeting her in person would be so much more exciting! Her website includes tour dates and locations, but none are near Oregon. That’s where the expensive part comes in.
Of course meeting her in person would be a long shot; however, it’s one of my biggest dreams. Meeting her in person would cross off one of the biggest items on my bucket list.
