Superstar Swimmer

Landry Huth is an eighth grade student at sunridge middle school, with a passion for swimming. She says that she enjoys playing golf but she likes swimming the most.
I talked to landry about swimming and she told me that she enjoys it so much because the water is cool and she has fun while she does it.

IMG_3416.JPG While I was talking to Landry she told me that her cousin got her into swimming at a young age and that she has been swimming ever since. Although she has no actual future plans in this sport, landry said that she would like to continue on into in college. I then went on to ask her what she does to get better she said, “I work out at the R.A.C, I do swimming sprints and I also do dryland training”. Then I asked her a few more questions like “how do you practice and compete” she told me that she competes individually in heats all over the northwest in sporting events called meets. And when she practices she does all of the different strokes and tries her hardest to improve on every single one. Landry also told me that she practices year round and spends about six to seven hours a week in the water.

In conclusion, I asked Landry what she does on her free time when shes not at school or swimming, she said that she likes to bake and hang out with her friends. She also golfs and does hula dancing. Before this interview I didn't know that much about Landry I knew that she was a swimmer but I didn't know what goes into being a swimmer.
