Do you know how to open a jar? I will tell you  how to open a jar. step 1 is to the jar. step two is to pick up the jar with one hand on top of the lid step three is put your thumbs around  the lid step four put your other hand on the bottom the jar.  step five is to twist the top hand so the lid will  come of.                           

    Next  now you know how to make a sandwich. step two: find two piece of bread. step three: is to bring to the table. step four: is to put the piece on the next to the peanut butter and jelly and take the stuff to the table. step five: now take the knife and put the knife  next step is to scoop up the peanut butter or jelly and put it on the bread and spread  the knife around the bread and redo the step five and six and now you know how to make a sandwich and to open a jar.

The Best Mom in the World

  I just about to interview my mom and her name is Shelly and McAlary.Shelly was born in La,Grande Oregon.She was nine when her family moved to Meza, Arizona.My mom she is an          Andminstion Assitant at The Pendleton Flour Mills. She like to work in the office and to help people.My mom said my family and I is going to San Fransico to go sightseeing also we love  to go camping in the suimmer at the coast and the mountains. My mom like to bake, put puzzle together also she love to play her favorite board games , watch movies and to watch plays at the Blue Mountain Community College. Also she like to spend time with the full family.But the most favorite thing to do is to go to Tri-City and go to watch many hockey games and the team is Tri- City Americans. My mom is three- nine years old. my mom Shelly was  living in La Grande, Oregon, and Mesa Arizona, and  Wallowa,Oregon  and where she is now is Pendleton, Oregon  

More Days of School

Some schools it`s held six instead of five days per week. This will give all students the best education possible.  Other reasons I think that school should be six days because teachers should have more than one full day get ready for the next week.  less days for vacations and more times with kids ,and more papers to grade in one full week, and if the schools have six days of schools per week we will have less days into summer, and longer Summer and  for teachers they will have more money in their pay checks, and the  most part of six days of school per week is less times with your family and love one.

Meanwhile there is another opposition for schools are to go to five days per week. First reason it to go to school five days per week is teachers will not get for the week. Another reason that we should be at school for less times and vacation. Also we can go less in the summer so we have some things to do with family and friends.

These are reason why people want five days or six days of school. WHAT is your decision?

Nicol Byram

 Mother of two married to Chuck, with an obsession to penguins. But is deathly afraid of birds. Her name is Nicol Renee Byram, born February 21, 1975. Has many of things she loves to do! Has been married for 16 years. Has one younger brother which is 34. She is a nurse in the O.B. department. Which deals with delivering kids and taking care of the moms. She works at two different hospitals, and a pediatrics center.

She loves to cook and go camping in her free time. She hates cleaning but has to do it anyways, she hates being in the house she always wants to be doing something. She loves Disneyland, she likes the rides and how it is the happiest place on earth. She has also been to Aruba and loved it there, and wants to go back soon.

Has a mom and dad who live in Dayton, Oregon, which is outside of Salem. They have been married for 37 years. She hasn't always lived in Pendleton. She moved here in 8th grade and has lived here ever since. Went to middle school and high school here.. Her best friend still lives in Salem, Carmen Anderson. They have known each other since they were in 2nd grade. Still visits her on occasion. Shes a very social person, doesn't ever stop talking. Makes friends with everyone. If you talk to her she will talk to you and know about everything about you by the time you're done talking. So if you ever meet my mom just go talk to her she will talk right back!

Young Gymnast Huntyr Hamilton

Huntyr Hamilton is a small town girl who grew up outside of Pendleton Oregon. She has been in gymnastics since she was 6 years old. She is now 14 and she is currently going to Mid Columbia gymnastics academy in Tri-Cities Washington.

Huntyr did dance when she was a little girl and she wanted quit. A few years later she wanted to get back into it so her mom suggested that since she like to do flips and cartwheels that she tried gymnastics. So that is what she did. She ended up enjoying it so much she stayed with it.

So she started going to Gary’s gym here in Pendleton and she advanced so quickly and it became easy for her, that her parents decided that the only help she would get would be in Tri-cities so they started taking her over there. She has been there ever since and is still going.

Huntyr says an ordinary day for her is she gets up and has to be at school at 8 am  then her parents have to get her out of school at 12:30 every day then she drives over to Tri-cities and they start their practice. It lasts for about 5 hours. After that she goes to subway and heads home, showers and gets ready for bed. Huntyr states there is not a lot of time to hang out with her friends  and do other things because you have to be so dedicated to the sport. She says its so hard to say no when your friends ask you to go to the mall,or go to the movies .

Huntyr wants to be in the 2020 Olympics so she has many goals that she has to set for herself. You have to go to practice everyday, you have to workout to stay in shape, not being lazy when you go to practice, and give it your all. Huntyr is in level 8 right now. In two years she will be able to be considered elite, if she qualifies. That means that once you hit level 10 you can try out for the U S team.  Then she plans on going to college at a Utah University in Salt Lake. She is going to try and get a scholarship to go to the University, and continue on with her gymnastics.

Her favorite event is beam. She also does the bars, vault and floor. The hardest move that she is learning right now is a double back handspring on beam. She is working on getting a back handspring back layout step-out

which is a back aerial out of a back handspring on the beam. Which she will need this flight for level 9 and 10.

Huntyr wants to live in Salt Lake city Utah. She plans on opening up her own gym and be a coach.She said”the coaches should have some experience. So then we can help the athletes at her gym.Its very helpful when your coach can show you what to do and not just tell you because you need to know what it looks like.Its a great job and you get to help young athletes achieve their dreams.

In 5 years Huntyr sees herself preparing for the Olympics. After the Olympics she plans on getting a full ride scholarship to The University of Utah where she will compete gymnastics there throughout college.

Huntyr has suffered from some minor injuries.She has broken her wrist from carrying a spring board.She has also hurt her back.She has been doing too many back handsprings.After these injuries happened she had to figure out a way to pump her up before practice and so she decided to listen to music that pumps her up,she also enjoys thinking of funny things that she has done with her friends in the past.

Huntyr loves gymnastics and plans to stick with it her whole life.she enjoys it more than anything. She has always loved gymnastics and always will even when she gets older. #gymnast4life But right now she wants to take it one step at a time.

Trouble With Friends

Dear ZONN,

    I am having some trouble with my friends. It’s not a big problem, but I would like some advice. All my friends are starting to like boys and all they want to do is hang out with them. I don’t mind them hanging out with the guys, but I am starting to get left out. They don’t invite me to do anything anymore. Maybe I should find new friends. I don’t know, and I would really appreciate some advice Thank you a lot!

Dear Trouble with Friends,

    I am sorry to hear that this is happening. Don’t worry, problems like this happen all the time. I think that you should start off by telling your friends how you feel and see if they realize you are feeling left out. Maybe after they hear what you think they will include you in some of the activities they do. If you’re not comfortable doing that, hopefully they will create some time to hang out with just you. Although it may be hard, finding different people to hang out with is always an option, even if you and your other friends can not work things out. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
