Angered Friend

Dear KOTN,
I honestly don’t know what to do. My supposedly “BEST FRIEND” is dating the person I like even though they knew I liked them first. I poured out my feelings to them and at the end of the week they were dating the person I liked. I'm angered by the fact that I've liked the person for over a year and when I told my BFF I liked them, they were already in a relationship. They broke up with them that day for the person I liked. All I want to do is yell and punch my ex BFF over and over again but I know thats not the right thing to do. Can you help me?
 -Angered Friend

Dear Angered Friend,
I’m deeply sorry that you're supposedly “best friend” would do that to you. I think if that friend was really your “bestfriend” then they wouldn't have done that to you at all. What you need to do is find a new friend ,obviously, and if that old friend comes back to you. I personally wouldn't accept it at all. I would delete them out of my phone and everything. Then just do the mature thing and ignore her and the boy you liked. But you should at least try to rebuild your friendship with them if they come back and apologize to you then you can forgive and try to forget about it. You dont have to be best friends after that but at least friends until you feel comfortable enough to be close with them again. First see why she would have done that and if she even likes that boy. But if you're not able to do that, move on and find a new best friend that will be a real friend to you unlike the last one.
                               Sincerely KOTN,

Dear KOTN: Scared to be Myself

Dear KOTN,
I have a problem with my clothes. I think I dress totally fine, but people make fun of me, calling me a scrub and rude things like that. My best friend won’t talk to me anymore because she doesn’t want to be made fun of too. It really hurts my feeling sometimes. Usually I don’t let people get to me, because I’m a lot stronger than this and I don’t know what to do. I would tell my parents, but I don’t want them to go to my school and totally embarrass me. What should I do?
From: Scared to be Myself

Dear Scared to be Myself,
Don’t worry, lots of people think they have problems with their clothes. Most people are just worried about what other people think. One thing I know a lot of people use is Pinterest. It is super helpful when you have no idea on how to put an outfit together. If you have long hair you could look up some cool hair styles like braids or buns that you could do to add some extra style to your outfits. Pinterest also has lots of cool hairstyles for people with medium or short hair.  You don’t need to worry too much  about your friends not talking to you. If they really were your friends they would be there to support you. Don’t worry about what people think and be yourself!
