Self Checkouts

self chekout
So, you are at the grocery store to pick up some snacks with only 30 minutes until you have to be somewhere else. You get all the snacks and supplies you need and you make your way to the checkout counter, only to find gigantic long lines. You don’t have time for this and of course the grocery store you are at doesn't have self checkout. You end up being late to wherever you had to be and you are furious.
Grocery stores should have self checkouts for multiple reasons. One reason is because self checkout is so much faster once you get the hang of it. It makes the lines shorter so in case the self checkout lines are long, you can go to a regular checkout counter. It doesn't make you wait as long as you would in a store without self checkouts. The more self checkouts a store has, the less time the customers have to wait in line and it gives them more options. Customers are smart enough to work the self checkouts themselves, so that’s another plus.
“The customer is  always right” right? Well in this case, if a customer wants a self checkout, then I suggest you get one. I guarantee if you have a self checkout or more than one, more customers will come to your store more often. self checkout

Gustavo The Great Chapter 1

Gustavo The Great
It was a dark and stormy night and Gustavo, the head turkey at the turkey farm was out for a midnight stroll. Gustavo knew it was getting close to Thanksgiving and he knew that being the head turkey, he would be chosen to be the Thanksgiving turkey that his owners, Mr. and Mrs. Greenhall would be eating with their stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy. Gustavo needed to do something to stop them from killing him after the very adventurous life he had led and is still leading.
Gustavo was known for getting out of dangerous situations like this one. One time while visiting some family in Australia, Gustavo was face to face with a crocodile that he had to fight off with his bare talons.  Gustavo won obviously, but it was a close one. While Gustavo was in Africa he met a lion and that lion wanted to eat Gustavo for dinner. Luckily, Gustavo met a very loyal monkey who was a pro fighter and heard Gustavo calling for help. The monkey came to Gustavo’s rescue and the rest of the details don’t need to be told.
Gustavo had a plan a brewin up in his mind just like the storm a brewin up in the sky. Gustavo had to escape the turkey farm as soon as possible. Gustavo was deep in thought when Melinda, a female turkey from his coop appeared behind him and startled him.
“What’re you thinking about, Gustavo?” asked Melinda.
“Oh Melinda. You gave me a fright! Don’t worry about my thoughts and dreams. It’s not important.” said Gustavo.
“Oh, okay.” said Melinda as she started dancing away from Gustavo.
Gustavo was glad that Melinda danced away from him at that moment. He needed to be alone to think out his plan. So far, Gustavo’s plan went a little like this:
1.) Gather acorns for after escape so he doesn’t starve.
2.) Have Melinda make a flying suit so he can fly over the big fences that surround the turkey farm.
3.) Do a little dance.
4.) Sing a song.
5.) Fly over the fence and ESCAPE!!!!!
Gustavo made his way sneakily over to Melinda’s nest so nobody could hear them talking.
“Hey yo Melinda what’s up?” asked Gustavo.
“Nothing much, Gustavo bro. Just hanging out making some flying suits in case a special turkey wanted to fly over the fence and escape just before Thanksgiving.”
“Melinda! How did you know I was wanting to have you make me a flying suit so I could fly over the fence and escape right before Thanksgiving?” said Gustavo, sounding a bit bewildered.
“I read minds Gustavo. That’s why I need to escape too. Mr. and Mrs. Greenhall are onto me. I read their mind and saved a young turkey this morning. I made a flying suit for the both of us. May I join you?” said Melinda.
“Well of course you may! I would be overjoyed to have you accompany me on my trip Melinda!”
“Well let’s waddle to it, Gustavo! We don’t have much time.” said Melinda. “Here, put this on. It keeps the bugs out of your eyes and helps you fly like an eagle.”
Melinda and Gustavo were off to escape the turkey farm. As they made their way to the fence they heard some bells ringing off in the distance. Thats weird, Gustavo thought. But he decided to ignore the bells and focus on escaping. Melinda and Gustavo were running as fast as they could and as hard as they could when they started to flap their wings. They both started rising up and up and up until they were two miles off the ground, and over the fence. For one second, Gustavo closed his eyes and felt freedom in the air, blowing through his feathers. Then all of a sudden they nose dived into the back of a sleigh with a lot of boxes. A big man with a beard white as snow turned around just in time for Gustavo to see his face before he blacked out. Gustavo recognised this man. The big man with the beard was……

Gustavo, The Finale

“Santa!!!!” yelled Gustavo with excitement. “It’s really you! What on Earth are you doing here when Thanksgiving hasn’t even passed yet?”
“Well Gustavo, I heard from a little birdy that you were in the midst of escaping from becoming Thanksgiving dinner and I decided I would help you out. You know, give you a ride wherever you want to go?” said Santa.
“Well that would be delightful! The thing is, we don’t really know where we are going… We just know we needed to get out of that turkey farm.” replied Gustavo.
“Well how about this Gustavo, you and Melinda go to sleep and I will drive you all around the world in my sleigh and when you wake up in the morning we will be at your new home.” said Santa.
“Sounds great, thanks big man!” said Gustavo, as he started drifting off into sleep.
As Gustavo and Melinda slept, Santa was driving his sleigh around the world. Santa and his reindeer drove Gustavo and Melinda everywhere you could possibly imagine. When Gustavo awoke, he couldn’t believe where he was. Antarctica.
“Antarctica isn’t a place for turkeys, Santa.” said Gustavo a bit anger in his voice.
“Don’t you worry your pretty little mind, Gustavo. I made an igloo just for you and Melinda. It is just for turkeys. Who knows, maybe you will find some turkey friends around here. Anyways, I was hoping you would get the chance to meet some of my polar bear friends. Once again, don’t worry. They are good polar bears, if they want christmas presents. Ho ho ho I make myself cackle. Come on Gustavo and Melinda, let’s go.”
Polar Bears
As they made their way to the polar bears the polar bears were making their way to them.. but oh so sneakily. The polar bears had a plan that Santa, Gustavo, and Melinda didn’t know about. As the polar bears approached Santa, Gustavo, and Melinda they started running at full speed towards them. The polar bears were angry with Santa because he hadn’t given them Christmas presents the last two years. The polar bears came about forty feet from Santa, Gustavo, and Melinda right before they fell into a gigantic hole and couldn't get back up. Santa was furious with the polar bears, since they were planning on attacking and killing him. Santa and the others went back to Gustavo’s igloo and had a nice cup of hot cocoa before Santa took off back to the North Pole.
“Well Gustavo, it has been a pleasure meeting you and Melinda. If you ever have troubles with those polar bears again, you know what to do.” said Santa.
“The feelings are mutual, Santa! Thank you, once again. Have a holly jolly Christmas, and a happy New Year.” said Gustavo.
“Ho! Ho! Ho!” Santa shouted as he drove off into the distance with his reindeer and sleigh.
“What a nice guy.” said Gustavo.
“Yeah, he really is. Now let’s go inside and enjoy some t.v. and what not.” said Melinda.
Melinda and Gustavo danced back to their igloo, enjoying each other’s company and they lived happily ever after.

THE END

We Not The People

Did you know how much debt we are in 2013?  Well, with Obama's term we are in debt 328 billion a day, surpassing 16.7 trillion for the first time. When Mr.Obama became president in 2009 the total federal debt was 10.6 trillion once it hit 16.7 trillion an increase of 57% in the same time frame  President  Bush ‘s total federal debt rose 35% under President Clinton’s 32%. As you can see Obama has made our country go into the most debt.By the time Obama's term is up our kids and our grand kids will still be paying his debt. Our country will soon be owned by China and Russia to help out the poorer countries because we owe so much money to them and we are not paying them back.

With our taxes we are supplying people
on welfare $38004 a year. When a person who goes to college for 7 years has a job and works gets paid less or even the same as someone who does not work.In reality, the entirety of the congressional health care plan is a "public option." It is all about one thing: putting government in control of health care.
In doing so, it will necessarily increase the government's influence over some of the most morally significant decisions you will ever make about your own life and the lives of your loved ones. It will permanently diminish the freedom of your children and your grandchildren.Doing so it will change America ,maybe just until Obama's term is up or maybe for ever. Many peoples deductibles/premiums are skyrocketing We will have to start paying more.
Our government will become socialist,.for example: If they think we are not ill enough they will not let us go to the doctor. Recently I lost my uncle,he was terminal ill. My aunt took him to the docter on October 1 and they said “ I am sorry we cant take him because he is terminal” Because the Obama care started on October 1. If we would have taken him in one day earlier they would have accepted him .But we were told that if a person is terminal the hospital can do nothing for him not even give him and aspirin. It does not matter if you are an older person or a younger person. Obama care will do nothing if you have a terminal illness. That is something that we should not look forward to, yet the people who work for the Government do not have to change their insurance plans. Is that a fair way to go. I for one do not think so.
I really hope that we can get things straightened out before they get worse because I hate to see this great country that so many people have fought for for years turn into something that our forefathers would not be very happy to see. I believe in God Bless America and United we stand. I am very proud of the United States and hope things get better soon.

Dive Into Some Great Swimming Tips

Here are some quick tips that might help you become a better swimmer. When I do free style  the hardest part to me and many other people is breathing. When I swim I like to do two strokes(right left right) then breath off to the left. You never want to breathe off to the left if your left arm is out .You always want your right arm out then breathe off to the left. Most people do one or two strokes but if you're like me you are able to hold your breath longer.
One of the harder swimming techniques would be the butterfly .When you try  to do butterfly you want to do big arm circles forward  with your arms..Your kick is not a normal  kick  what you do is try to be like a mermaid or dolphin.Try to act like you have a tail. Then you have to dive in every time you go under water. This is a very hard stroke to accomplish.
I hope this will help you become great swimmers. If you don't swim already  ask your parents if you can join your local swim team.If you need more help look on YouTube .Just remember stick with it and do what you love.Dive into more information about swimming.

Christmas Oreo Balls

Did you know Santa's favorite cookie is not chocolate chip!He has a new favorite.Oreo, but if you want to add a little twist to the traditional cookie try this recipe.Oreo balls. They are sweet round little bliss's!Even to the people who don't like Oreo's. I assure you.
 INGREDIENTS:
  • one pack of Oreo
  • one brick of white chocolate
  • one pack of cream cheese
  • a plastic bag or blender
Take the Oreo and crush or blend them till they are crumbs.Add the package of cream cheese in with the Oreo. And mix till looks WELL mixed. Then make little bite size ball shaped maybe a little bigger than bite size works just fine.Once you have them i balls, stick them in a bowl and let them sit in the fridge for a while. But if you're in a hurry you can stick it in the freezer for an hour or thirty minutes. While the balls are in the freezer start working on melting the chocolate. you need to do a double boiler.Fill the pan about half way full. Then stick the medial bowl on top of the pan.Stick a half of brick in the pan.For every pack Oreo use a half a brick.Once the chocolate is melted, take the balls out of the freezer or fridge.Take a toothpick or fork and pick the ball up and dip it in the chocolate.Once you dip it in the chocolate place it on wax paper and place in fridge or freezer.Let set for a while so chocolate candy harden. It does not take long for the chocolate to get cold.Pull them out and they are ready to eat.
I hope you enjoy this recipe. When they are ready set on a plate pour a nice cup of milk and set it on in the table for Santa. Everybody loves Oreo balls. They might be too sweet thats what the milk if for.Make sure not to eat too many you might get a

The Dangers of Texting While Driving

About 11 teens are killed each day because of texting and driving. A young adult’s reaction time becomes that of a 70 year old while texting and operating a motor vehicle. The phrase, “it can wait” is often referred to when talking about using a cell phone while behind the wheel. A text can truly wait when your life or that of another is at risk.
It seems hard to believe that around 330,000 injuries per year occur because of texting and driving. Every time you glance at your phone while driving 55 miles per hour, your car travels the length of a football field. The annual rate of death and accidents among teens seems more realistic after hearing those facts.
Photo Link
Consider turning off your phone prior to getting in the car to reduce the temptation of texting or making a call. If turning off your phone is out of the question, pull over to the side of the road. Not only is using your cell phone unsafe, but this practice is now against the law in most states. A citation will result in a stiff fine and possible increase in your insurance rate.

More citizens should be aware of the dangers that come when using your phone while driving. I, along with many others, am against texting and driving. the risk of life is not worth a simple text such as, “what’s up”. A response to a text or call can wait just like many other conversations in life. Next time you are driving and you go to use your phone, think about the consequences that can result from taking your eyes off of the road for a few seconds.
