Do you remember what it felt like going back to school after a long summer? You probably couldn’t remember much of what you learned the year before, and was stuck doing long review assignments. To me, having to do review is frustrating because it almost seems like you learn a lot of work one year only to forget it the next. A way to fix this problem though, is going to school year-round. Going to school year-round means going to school 2 ½ to 3 months, taking 2 weeks off, and then repeating that process.
By going to school year-round students have a better chance of remembering everything they have learned and less review would be needed. Also, by not needing as much review time in classes there would be more time for students to learn. It was also proven through many studies that students that go to a year-round school tend to have, or develop, a better attitude towards learning. While many students would miss having three months of summer, two weeks is still enough time for students to visit family or take a vacation and still have the knowledge of what they learned intact. Going to school year-round is a good decision because it allows students to get the best education possible and still have time for family and vacation.
