Christmas Sorrow

Do you like getting presents on Christmas? Who doesn’t, but did you know that there are children whose parents can’t afford presents? So why not donate one of your old toys that you don’t play with anymore. Think about it, that old toy sitting on a shelf or in a drawer, forgotten, can make someone else world a whole lot brighter. Don’t have any old toys? Donate a dollar or spare change you have lying around the house.  Many stores have somewhere you can make donations, Wal-Mart has someone standing outside their doors each day. When you walk in the store put a dollar in the bucket, or as you are leaving give away your spare change. A little action can go along way, if everyone donates loose change, then pretty soon that adds up too $100 maybe all the way to $500. Using that money families are supplied with  present. Some families can’t afford a nice home cooked meal or new clothes.
Go ahead, help out, go through your drawers and donate any clothes you don’t wear or are too small. Those clothes you have sitting at the bottom of a drawer may help someone stay warm through the winter. That feeling you get every time you open your presents on Christmas day, can be shared. It doesn’t take a lot but it definitely makes a lasting impression.
