Kalli

The first thing you should know about me is that I hate sports and have never done a sport in my life. However, what I lack in athletic ability, is made up musically. I am a musician. I have played the piano since the age of four. I am thirteen years old and on level six of ten in piano, I have played the violin since fourth grade, I play the bass, and am not a terrible singer. I love country music, Disney songs, and modern songs arranged for the piano (John Schmidt!). I am the youngest of very musically inclined siblings. My sister Sarah is sixteen and she is on level nine of ten in piano, she plays the oboe, the saxophone, she is at the top of her class in choir, and she can play just about any band instrument you ask her to play. My brother Dillon is eighteen and he plays the electric bass in an FFA band that won state, played piano until he was twelve, and he is an excellent singer. My oldest brother Matt is almost twenty-two and played the piano until he was fifteen. When he was in high school, he was the best drummer they had. I wish I could say we all got it from our parents, but my dad always says he got kicked out of all music programs when he was a kid for lack of talent and my mom never had the money when she was a kid to  explore music, which is why she put us through piano lessons. Reading is next on my list of hobbies. I have always loved and comprehended books on the highest level. I like mystery, inspirational, adventurous, and just plain fictional books. My favorite thing about books is that they almost always have a happy ending, I can go anywhere, and I can get into them and feel what the characters are feeling. I am always happy when I am with my friends. My best friend is my sister Sarah. I love her so much. The nice thing about having her as my best friend is that she’s always at my house, no matter how much we fight, we have to stay together, and we know each other better than anyone. I am organized, kind, creative, and very glad to be in publications.
