Staying Organized

If you’re having trouble in your classes because you can’t stay organized, you’ve come to the right place. A lot of people have trouble with this particular subject, especially when they don’t have time in school to do just that: organize. Here are some helpful tips to help you keep up in your classes. You’re going to want a binder with rings in it and a place for class work such as folders or separators. Make sure you have all supplies you need for every class. An item may not be on the school supply list, but if you think you might need it, get it. ‘ Better safe than sorry.’ Use your planner! It helps you keep up with every class and, if you write in it, you can check what you have for homework. Notes to write in your planner include homework, test dates, after school plans and really anything you think you might forget. When you get to class, don’t goof off with your friends. Pay attention and write down your homework in your planner and begin any assignment at the beginning of class. If you have time at the end of class, get your papers in order. Don’t wait until the last minute to do your assignments and projects. If you do, you will find yourself scrambling to get everything done, and that alone is stressful. Do homework as soon as you get it. If you don’t you will be doing it on the bus or in the car on the way to school, five minutes before it is due, or you might not do it at all and then get in trouble with your teacher and parents. At your house, designate a spot for your homework and projects. Supplies should be kept here so you don’t lose anything. Make sure your locker stays straightened out so you can find all items you need. If you follow these few rules, you are sure to have a successful school year.
