Got The School Blues? That's Bad News

How to make school, in quite simple terms, “better”. Having a good attitude affects your school life tremendously. It’s all about the “power of positive thinking”. If you think, and feel that you will fail. Then more than likely you will fail. If you say things such as, “I hate this teacher”, or “this Class sucks”, then it simply, will “suck”. On the other hand you may have a much more positive attitude, and if this is the case you are much more likely to achieve success. Staying out of drama and creating a good group of friends is also a key to making your school life more enjoyable.  Avoid judging people, and listening to, or spreading rumors. Not always will you be able to do this, but the less drama in your life the happier you will be. Enrolling in extracurricular activities is also a way to stay social and be involved. Being a part of something and feeling like you belong will help, to stay confident and make you feel like you have reached an achievement. Studying, doing your work, and paying attention (even if boring) will make school a lot easier and it will certainly show in your grades. David M. Burns once said,” Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life. Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism”.  Keep in mind that the things you do now will stay with you for the rest of your life. Always remember the importance of school and work hard, if you do you are bound to go somewhere in your life.
