The most important things in my life are the people I love and care about. My family provides me with continual support. I am fortunate to have been raised by two parents that love me. I have one sibling, Andy, a fifth grader at McKay who makes my life fun and interesting. Our house also includes my dog, who weighs more than I do. My friends have been a big part of my life and are always there for me. Without my family and friends I truly believe I would not be the "Lilli Oja" I am today.
Someone might say learning is in my blood. Both my mom and dad are teachers, both of their parents are teachers, and both my aunts and uncles are teachers too. It is probably not surprising to know that school is very important to me. I am very aware that I must stand out in order to be accepted into a good college. At this point I am interested in a career in the medical field so my grades are a high priority. I enjoy helping others and have been interested in a job as a doctor.
Spring is my favorite time of year because my family travels across the state so my brother and I can compete in track. I have tried many sports in elementary school but my favorite by far is track and running. I have blonde hair, green eyes, and like everyone else in middle school, have braces. I am five feet five inches tall. My name is Lilli Oja and I was born in McMinvile, OR on July 8, 2001.
I am most excited for publications this year because writing has always been something I enjoy and is one of my strengths. I want to bring my creativity to this class and share with our community the things Sunridge students are doing. I cannot wait to interview students and take pictures of them working hard! Being in publications will improve my writing and also teach me more about computers and photography. Plus, it will be super fun to do with my friends!
