Before anything else, you need to know what gear to have. The proper attire is very important due to the fact you can’t wear your normal wardrobes like dresses, jeans, Toms, and tennis shoes. You should first find a comfortable shirt, a pair of athletic shorts, shin guards, knee socks that fold over shin guards, and cleats. Your cleats aren’t like normal softball or football cleats. They need to have little studs on the bottom but cannot have a toe stud and the best brand which I use are Nikes. Needed equipment you must have are a soccer ball, water bottle, and a goal. Water is significant piece of equipment because if you don’t drink it before, during, and after practicing you may feel dizzy and dehydrated.
Most soccer players have a field where they practice on. Fields that are good are flat. with none or few holes, and about 3/4 of the size of a football field. Its vital not to have holes everywhere due to the fact you can hurt yourself by stepping in one. Lastly, you need to know how to kick a soccer ball. To kick the ball correctly, you kick in these steps: body over ball, plant foot next to the ball, bringing your foot down knee first, and then turning your foot and kicking with the inside of your foot. Your plant foot is the opposite foot of the foot you’re going to kick with. For the best distance kick, you have to kick with your foot under the ball to lift the ball up into the air.
Now you know what equipment you need, places to go, and how to kick a soccer ball. If you set your mind to it, these tips can take you a long way.
