New York State of Mind

Pencils and quarters throughout fifth and sixth grade used to be my passion. I liked collecting them until the end of sixth grade. I still have all my pencils to this day but have spent all of the quarters at the arcade in the old bowling alley.Pencils and quarters have made me me. I am Keyshawn Jackson. I was born in Bend Oregon and have moved all over the place in Oregon. I am 13 and will be turning 14 on October 6th. I have lived in Pendleton since third grade and went to Washington Elementary for the rest of elementary. In my family I have five brothers and one sister. There names are Tahnesha, Tyler, Tanner, Trenton, Dante, and last but not least me. I am the youngest and will always be the shortest. My sister Tahnesha has two kids named Brooklyn and Quinton and my brother Tyler has one kid named Alaina. Tanner and Trenton are twins and they are beginning their second year of college and Dante just started his first year of high school.

Throughout elementary school I was always the shortest person in my class.  My mom has called me Midget, which has been my nickname my whole life. I actually enjoy being short because you have an advantage. No one wants to hurt small people and I can get in to places that other can't. 
My parents got a divorce when I was really young and now I live with my mom. All my family lives in Madras. Oregon and Vancouver and I wish I lived there to be closer to the rest of my family. Spending time with my family is one of my favorite things to do. I really enjoy Halloween. When I go to a scary movie it scares me but I love to watch them. I enjoy summer but dislike winter. My favorite hobbies are choir, basketball, and cross country. Running for fun is a fantastic way to get good exercise.

I want to move to New York and go to a school there called NYCDA. NYCDA stands for New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.The reason why I want to move to New York is because I like big cities and a lot of people in one place but absolutely hate elevators. New York will be a great adventure to take. I first got the idea of New York when I saw the movie Home Alone. I have been waiting for the chance to see New York and maybe just maybe the East coast trip will be that chance. In Publications class, I hope to bring my planning and organizing skills to the yearbook.
