Going on a fun run

Have you ever tried something new instead of sitting on your couch watching t.v. using up all your free time? Well Cross Country is a great running sport or just running for fun is a great way to use up free time. It's also a great way to get some really good exercise. The three most important things about cross country that you have to know is how to breath well, how to keep your own pace, and how to keep yourself hydrated.
The first thing you need to know is in Cross Country or any running sport is that you have to know how to breathe well. While you are running you have to breath in and out calmly. The way for me to breathe is to breathe in on my left foot and to breath out on my right foot. This helps me keep my pace, and helps me run the best way I can. When you are running you want to avoid talking to people or waving to people to avoid distractions.
Second of all you have to learn how to run at your own pace. When you start a race you should keep at a good pace that is between a jog and a sprint. You need to keep calm while running and keep breathing with short deep breaths. Keeping your elbows out and using your arms will help you run faster. Before you run in a practice or a meet you should stretch or do some exercises. Stretching before or after running will keep you from getting hurt or pulling a muscle. You should stretch your arms, legs, and your stomach. Some examples of stretches or exercises are the butterfly, push ups, sit ups, and the hurdle stretch.
Last but not least you need to keep yourself hydrated. You are supposed to drink at least two liters of water every day. A great way to get that two liters of water every day is by carrying a bottle of water around with you all day. While you are running cross country make sure you drink water before, during, and after exercising. Make sure you start and end your day with a glass of water.Using these steps will help you become a successful cross country runner. If you are thinking about trying this sport or hobby, hopefully my advice will help you.
