Starting your first soccer season, sometimes you don't know what to do or what to wear or anything! Well, don't feel bad, you're not alone! There's lots of newbies playing soccer! First, let me give you a quick definition of soccer. Soccer is a sport played by two teams with a round ball trying to score on the opposite goal, using feet only. Now that you know what soccer actually is, I can tell you exactly what you need so you can be ready for your first soccer season. When you play soccer, you need to have good attire. A pair of shorts and a nice, loose, comfy shirt will be good when you play soccer. Also another thing is to have a good pair of fitting shoes and/or cleats. You don't want to play soccer uncomfortably, but something nice that you can run and feel comfortable in.
When you play soccer, you need to stay hydrated. Water is your BEST FRIEND in soccer. If you don’t drink enough water, you become dizzy and dehydrated, sometimes it results into vomiting and fatigue, and sometimes fainting. The next thing you do in soccer is stretch. If you don’t stretch, your muscles become stiff and you will feel soreness in your body and it begins to hurt and feel uncomfortable, then you can't run fast enough. The next thing you need in soccer is the right equipment. You need to have good, comfortable shin guards, also good quality socks and a nice pair of soccer cleats.
When practicing soccer, you have to know that soccer 90% running. You want to be in shape for soccer, and on average it takes about three weeks to get in shape, so it takes LOTS of running and effort, so don't give up. You always want to keep your pace and make sure to have good posture. The next thing you need to know is how to handle the ball. You need to learn the basics of soccer like how pass, trap the ball, control it, volleys, and dribbling. There are also lots of awesome games you can play during soccer. There’s World Cup, Lighting, Dog Fights, Spider man, and many more. These games are the best to play with your whole team or a big group, so use this for your enjoyment. I recommend Lighting and World Cup, because you can play with a small group or a big group, and you can play it forever. Once you get the hang of that, you're good to go with soccer. And remember to try your best and work hard. Soccer is a hard working sport. Overall, you need to be prepared, organized, trained, ready to run and have fun!
