Old but Not Forgotten

People in America usually celebrate the holidays that are common like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New years. But people don’t know about all the other holidays there are in the world. Almost every day is a national day. One day I enjoy the most is National Donald Duck Day, which is June 9th. Even though it might sound childish, I chose this day because anything that is Disney related I like. June 9 is National Donald Duck Day because Donald Duck’s first screen debut was in 1934 on June 9th in The Little Wise Hen. Now still 80 years later, he is cheering on the Oregon Ducks and people are celebrating Donald Duck Day all around the world.
National Donald Duck Day is important because it celebrates not just how Disney was but how it has changed and developed over the years. It celebrates Donald Duck’s first screen debut and now he is in plenty of shows all over Disney. I think this day is such a wonderful day because there is nothing better than cartoons and everything deserves to be celebrated.

Some interesting information about Donald Duck is that his full name is Donald FauntLeroy Duck and he even has his own star in The Hollywood Walk of Fame. Donald Duck has some other names like “Duck Avenger” and in the United Kingdom they call him “Super Duck”. He is also known for his short temper. As most people don't know, Donald Duck even lives in a town called Duckburg.  To go pay a visit to Donald Duck you can go to Disneyland or Disneyworld but also you can have a dress up party with all disney characters. What I would do is just sit at home all day and watch old disney shows that have Donald Duck in it. From past experience, I have met Donald Duck in Disneyland and he was twice my size. He might be mean, he might be old, but he will not be forgotten.
