When people think of holidays they think of Christmas, Valentine's day, halloween, Thanksgiving ect; But nobody ever thinks of the days like national cat day, pizza day, ice cream day, and friendship day. These days aren't the big holidays that everybody celebrates but they are still holidays. Usually people either don't know about these days or there just not a big deal to people. Well if there’s ever a day where you want some snacks or something but you don’t get those unless its a holiday then look up the national holidays it might just be your lucky day for it.

Friendship day is a day to hangout with all your friends or just a few of them. This year it is celebrated on August 2 on a Sunday. On this day there are many things you can do with your friends but if you dont want to spend time with your friends then hangout with your animals there close enough. People used to celebrate their friendships by sending cards but now and days you can do basically anything to celebrate it with your friends. For example for friendship day I will be hanging out with my friends and going out for brunch or something that we enjoy doing together. This is a wonderful day because you get to hangout with the ones you love or just anyone if you want I'll be celebrating this wonderful day with my closest friends and just spending time with them which will be spectacular.
Friendship day was created to promote friendship and fellowship among all humans regardless of their race, color or religion. Friendship is an in-depth relationship combining trust, support, communication, loyalty, understanding, and empathy. You don't really need a special day to make your friends feel loved and cared about. But it offers you the opportunity to give your friends extra attention and honor your friendships with each other. “The friends we meet on the path of life make the trip worthwhile.” This is a quote by an unknown Author. I think more people should start to celebrate friendship more by giving each other a gift or something simple like hanging out on this day.
