The Beginning of High School

        I’ve always been curious about high school, ever since I was in elementary school. It’s scary how fast time flies. I remember when I first started middle school, I thought it was going to be scary and there was going to be a ton of homework. But I was surprised. Middle school is actually a lot more fun than elementary school, you may not have recess everyday, but you get different classes and you get to meet new people. That’s how I met the friends I have today. Now in a few months, all of the 8th graders are going to be a freshman in high school, and I’m one of them. I’m excited because you get a lot more freedom but they give you freedom so you can make the right decisions in your life. I’m also looking forward to being able to choose my own classes like art, jewelry, photography, and many more. The only part I’m afraid of is that high school is the last four years of your teenage life and those four years affect the rest of your life. So I go into high school prepared, curious, excited, and a little bit scared.
