Tug of War Champions
Every
year Sunridge Middle School competes in a challenge of endurance, this
year Mr. Gundlach’s eighth grade advisory class came out on top in the
tug of war competition. It was a mighty struggle of wits and strength.
Although the battle was rough much like the French and Indian war in
1754, they still proved triumphant. Colin Rickman who was on the winning
side of this mighty struggle states that “the battle was physically and
emotionally draining, pulling and heaving with all of my might only the
‘big V’ was in sight, and that is what we obtained.” It was a crushing
blow for the opposing team who lost when so close to the finish. As
Gundlach himself states “we were in it to win it baby!” Tug of war is an
exciting physical exercise that kids will be happy to compete in, and
creates some good old friendly competition. As many of the victors said
“we just hope next year’s class carries on our legacy and continues the
tradition of tug of war champions.”
