Middle
school seemed like such a scary experience in sixth grade. Just looking
at all the kids who were so much bigger than me. Especially for me
being one of the shortest in my sixth grade class. Although I had some
small sort of sense of what sort of obstacles lie in my way in middle
school from seeing my brother go through it himself, who is now a
freshmen in college. But I had not even begun thinking about what was
beyond middle school.
Three
long years have passed since then. Now what is beyond middle school is
becoming a reality. Being an eighth grader has its perks but all that is
going away next year when going into highschool. I'm not particularly
excited for the move but it had to happen sometime! Some things do come
out to be proven effective in this situation, such as getting college
credits for classes. Yes! Classes are actually worthwhile for once in a
great while. Also, I'm looking forward to see friends that I have that
have already made the move to high school. But as I foresaw, there are
some things that come out negative in this situation. Such as the
problem of having classes all the way across the school from one
another. If I thought walking from Orchestra to Publications was a
tough, this is a whole new ballgame. Though in all due respect, I will
miss Sunridge in some aspects. Such as the teachers I have been with
these three years. Also, smaller lunches will be missed immensely. But I
am ready for the freedom of choosing where I go to lunch on my own
accord. But to sum things up, I will miss the middle school as I finish
another step in my life. Come at me high school!
