Growing Through Changes

Remember your first day of kindergarten? The rush of emotions you felt walking into a whole new atmosphere? Fear, apprehensiveness, and

excitement probably stood out the most, feelings that always seem to occur when moving on to a new school. Each school we go to, and the teachers we have, will help to shape and define us. They will help us decide what kind of future we would like to build for ourselves, and will always be remembered, just as we can easily remember colors, letters, and numbers. But each school we move onto also means a new challenge, as well as new privileges. In middle school, students get the option of band, orchestra, and chamber choir, all things that are not offered in elementary schools. But of course there is going to be a challenge. Moving up to middle school means new rules, expectations, and time limits. But after three years of getting comfortable and use to these changes, we will be whisked away to another school known as high school. And again, there will be a new challenge to face. Just like the middle school, the high school will have time limits, even stricter teachers, and harder assignments. But privileges that also come come along with high school are choices in clubs and electives, as well as the option to leave campus for lunch in later years of high school. Every year we spend at school we become a bit more mature, strengthen our education, and make memories. While I have never experienced daily high school life, I know that I am ready to take on the challenge that it brings, and that memories made there will surely last a lifetime.
