Stressful Times

Its 10:20 and I've already had three big tests today I swear we test all the time its outrageous! School just started at 8:00 and i'm already overwhelmed. Well as you can see there is a lot of testing that happens here all the time. I think that there are way too many tests and it stresses us kids out a lot even if we know all the material when it comes down to tests kids get to nervous about it then stress about doing poorly on it. Some ways we could fix this problem is well not have quit as many but for the ones that are required we could take a couple answers at a time but have the teachers treat it like a homework assignment that way kids won't stress as badly about it. Other than that we could do is spread the tests out take one every month so then it give more students time to prepare for it and study more.
Testing time is too stressful and makes kids get all mind boggled. This is a big problem because it makes kids very stressed out. And by testing so much it doesn't let teachers do all the fun activities with their students “There's never have enough time” one teacher said.Other kids may think there are bigger issues at this school then that but as I interviewed some students about what they think is the biggest problem facing SMS students today 8th grader Maggie told me that “tests are to stressful.” She said a way we could solve this problem is during testing have a free period for snacks and fun activities to help the students calm down from a long day of testing.
Another way we could solve this problem is have a study guide for the test. And do the study guide with the teacher and day before the test we could go over it with the whole class and have review days. I think this would help a lot I asked another student what he thinks is a big problem and he said bullying. So kids have different ideas of what's the biggest problems but for me I think that testing is the worst problem of all.
So there are way too many tests here at SMS. How the students could help with this problem is study more and try to get comfortable with the material before we test on it.The staff and school could help out by making these tests not be so stressful and space out these tests. 6th grader Dean says he thinks the biggest problem is that students don’t get supplied with pencils and he thinks the teachers should supply those for us. So as you can see the longer you're at this school you will think other things are the bigger issues than others like some think bullying is a big problem here. This affects students because we get to overwhelmed and dont feel like doing any other school work after a long day of testing. So I think we need to figure out the solution to this problem so that we can do an equl amout of fun projects and testing as well.
