Middle Child's Day

Are you sick of your older brother or sister being able to do anything they want? How about your little brother/sister being “the baby”, and getting whatever they want when they want it? Well I am glad to say that every year on August 12 it is national middle child day! The middle child gets lost in a sea of hand-me-downs, shared bedrooms, and babysitting duties, otherwise known as “middle child syndrome." Generally middle children will receive less parental attention, have to ‘make do’, and be compared to both their older and younger siblings. The middle child is the peacekeeper of the family and sometimes tries to get attention however they can. This is one way of making us feel like we're not just “the middle children” for one day. In my opinion August 12 should be a national holiday and to be celebrated all over the world.
