Guns Should Stay!

    In response to Sierra Helton’s article about not banning guns, I honestly agree with her and that the government should make a different decision. Even though there has been a lot of incidents where multiple people have been murdered with guns, they should not ban guns because it is the person’s fault not the gun’s fault. For example, in Newtown, Connecticut the children and adults were killed by the man not by the gun because he wasn’t  stable enough to handle a gun. Instead of banning guns the government should make a law where people have to take a test before they buy a gun, to make sure they are stable enough to handle a gun. Like Sierra said: “Even if the government took away our guns, the murderers would find a gun somehow,” so that is why I think they need to find a better solution. Just because guns are dangerous does not mean the government should ban them because we need them to protect ourselves from criminals. Also, if they take away our guns, they are taking away our right to bear arms. For these reasons I agree with Sierra that we should keep our guns.
