Dear New News Now,
I got my girlfriend a pair of American Eagle jeans for valentines day. The only mistake i made was they were 3 sizes too big. I told her that i got her a gift and she wanted to see it. I told her she couldn't know till Valentines Day. I hid then in my closet but when she came over to hangout she found them. She said they were so cute and that she loved them. Until she tried them on. She said she was a size two, and that i had bought her a size five. They looked like they would fit her when i bought them. Now she thinks that i think shes fat. What should I do now?

            Sincerely,
Guy in the Dog House

Dear Guy in the Dog House,
It’s common for a girl to have low self esteem about her weight, but she should realize that you took time and money to buy her a gift that she would enjoy. There is one answer to your problem and that is to take her back with you and let her pick out the pair and size. Also tell her that it was an honest mistake. That should win her over.

            Sincerely,
            New News Now
