link to photo Almost every 90 seconds, a person is injured in a drunk driving crash. I always wonder what is going through someone's mind when they are driving home drunk. After they drive home drunk and if they get caught they are arrested and have DUI on their permanent record for the rest of their life. They will also have their licence suspended but they will continue to drive with a suspended licence. People don’t always think before they drive there will thousands of deaths by drunk driving a year.
On average one in three people will involved in drunk driving crash in there lifetime. In 2012, 10,322 people died in drunk driving crashes. That would be one every 51 minutes. People may not think before they drive, people should always pick a person that doesn't drink and drives everyone home safely.
The deadliest drunk driving accident was in 1988 on highway 71 in Kentucky. When a drunk driver hit a bus head on causing a collision. It killed 24 people including most of them were kids, and 3 other people were injured in that case.
1 and every 10 teenagers drink and drive well there in high school. I was reading a paragraph and one girl in college killed her best friend in a drunk driving accident. She now goes around to high schools and tells her story and encourages teenage kids not to drink. She went to the school she graduated from a week before prom and told her story and there i was not one kid that got arrested that night she said.
In conclusion I think people shouldn’t be drinking home drunk or even have keys to a car. If they are drinking then take the keys away from them as soon as they get a little tipsy. That's what I think should happen.
