An Easter Story

Spring time had finally arrived in the small town of Easterville. Eggs were hatching, flowers in bloom, and new life in the air. Shorts and T-shirts are being broken out of the boxes, kids beginning to ply outside. For Charlie Hatch a young orphan spring time was always the worst time of the year, due to his parent’s death a spring long ago. Charlie walked around kicking flowers, and spitting on the freshly cut grass. Now it was the day before Easter and Charlie was busy making sure that all of the other children knew that the Easter bunny wasn’t real. As Charlie laid his head down to sleep that night he could not get any rest. Bang bang bang Charlie heard sounds coming from his living room. Creepily he nuzzled his way off of the bunk bed. Arriving in his living room he was stopped in his tracks by quite the sight. A giant bunny, the Easter bunny in fact was there bearing gifts and words of wisdom. From that day on Charlie was a believer and would be touched forever more.
